²⁴ this is what the Lord says: “Behold, ^(A)I am bringing ^[a]evil on this place and on its inhabitants, all ^(B)the curses written in the book which they have read in the presence of the king of Judah. ^25 (C)Since they have abandoned Me and have burned incense to other gods, so that they may provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands, My wrath will be poured out on this place and it will not be quenched.”’ ²⁶ But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the Lord, this is what you shall say to him: ‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: In regard to the words which you have heard,
